I'm an animator with nearly 20 years' experience in the game industry, who draws pinups and comics on the side. Enjoyer of cartoons and silly things.
I won't ask you to "Like" or subscribe; my channel is unfocused, and making videos on a regular basis is not a high priority for me. Unless one day I'm able to crank out animations of my own characters, like a machine. THEN I may be quite the attention whore!

Metamorphoses - Perseus opening
This is one part of the film where I may be able to take some creative liberties. While my goal is to somewhat restore the original Metamorphoses cut, this section is edited differently in the Winds of Change and Hoshi no Orpheus cuts. The Orpheus cut mixes shots of Medusa's victims with Perseus approaching the king, while the Winds version only has two back-to-back shots of the victims, shown after Perseus kneels. Perhaps the Orpheus cut is the more correct of the two, except it repeats one shot of Perseus, and splits another shot into three.
Editing aside, this section is also frustrating because the Japanese laserdisc is almost useless. The image is simply too dark. Even the American VH...

Metamorphoses - Perseus vs Medusa

This is a sort of proof of concept/work in progress of a project I've had in mind for some time - a restoration of Sanrio's Metamorphoses, that uses all available sources to reconstruct the original widescreen image. The original Metamorphoses had a disastrous premiere in 1978, which forced Sanrio to make some heavy edits - 7 minutes was cut out, its five segments were rearranged, and its rock ...

Some rough animation I did, for an America Sings VR project that sadly doesn't look like it will be completed any time soon.
Metamorphoses (Winds of Change) part 4 - The House of Envy WIP

Metamorphoses is a film that has fascinated me for years, that I wish I could see in its original form, but that will likely never happen. The Winds of Change/Hoshi no Orpheus version is all that there is. Or is it? Recently I'd found Arbutus Unedo's MÉTAMORPHOSES video, which to my surprise is in widescreen. It's not THE Metamorphoses, but rather a French release of Winds of Change that appare...

Velma - How To Fail At Writing A Cartoon For Adults

Is Velma a bad show? Without a doubt, in my opinion. But I also think it can be a great example of how not to write anything, particularly a cartoon for adults. If any of the examples I give seem obvious, then congratulations! You have better instincts than Velma's writers! 00:00 - Intro 01:40 - Setting a Tone 05:30 - Opening Breakdown & Analysis 11:00 - The Writing... 14:47 - Insincere Chaos 1...

Doing a morning check-in, I'm if the mass of zombies in the Lower City market is the same one from a few days ago, just endlessly growing & replenishing itself... Time Stamps: 00:00 Loading 03:33 Lower City market 08:05 There they go!

I'm not sure who's more persistent - the infinitely spawning army of zombies in Shattrath, or the paladin slowly kiting them out of the city.

Walking around the show grounds, to give a sense of how many cars are on display. The second day of the Auto Fest is always the busiest, as it's the first day it's open to the public, but there are also more cars compared to the first & last days.

Thanks for posting this. I miss those days
No I lived in the suburbs lol
Thanks for posting this! I like the long version but this bumper, with it's higher key, was *exactly* what I was looking for. Thanks!!
Fingers crossed someone posts the long version, eventually
Oh yes... I am here to find the part where someone bellows: Deeeetroit - Stand Up - Tell Em! (Stand up and tell em you're from: Detroit!)
Found it! FINALLY!!!
yes i soooooooo remember this from being a lil kid
I recall there was a longer version of this that I'm desperate to find
I think I remember the same promo. (The jingle went) "Stand up and tell em' your from De-troit . . . Stand up and tell em"! Stand up and tell em' tell your from tell em' DETROIT!!!" I still remember it vividly and band and singer performing like this one even with fireworks at the very end over downtown and I think I had that on VHS who knows where that is ... Don't live there any more ... ah the memories WXYZ channel 7...
@@tosborne8062 I remember it with Bill Bonds and other Action News anchors/reporters being in the nightclub lipsynching to certain parts
I've been trying to find the long version and I remember on the Detroit part it was some guy singer with a real deep voice saying Deeeeetroittttt
ALSO LOOKING FOR THE LONG VERSION!
Need to find out who the lady in the short version is it looks like it was filmed at the fox theater.
Useless video if you are not going to share the script.
help me..
please.. JL Parent-Space Switcher Tools.. download Plz..
Mocha unfortunately this script has been broken for quite some time, and I don't currently have the time to fix it.
Thank you. (I wonder how the script works. T_T)
Mocha It's actually fairly simple. Two groups are created above the constrained object - one recieves the constraint, the other acts as an offset to preseve the object's pose. A scriptJob runs the switcher whenever the 'parent' attribute on the object changes - it sets the constraint weights, and updates the offset group so that the object stays in the same location. The constraint weights and offset group also need to use stepped keys, for this to work.
Oh thank you very much. I did not know if I had to update the offset using scriptJob. I do not speak English well but I understand what you say. I am really grateful for your help. You will be blessed. :)
Hi Jared, is this tool available for use? Looks pretty useful
Wow, that IS a thing! :D Impressive.
I can't believe Maya doesn't have a native tool for mirroring poses. Blender has one.
I'm doing a walk cycle in Maya and it's a pain in the... Really Maya worth it? Is it really used for pro animations? How can it be?
what if my model is made up of separate meshes
the meshes don't matter, only the rig
oh! It is a good tool! Where to download?
me canta tus vídeo soy de agertina
Cool!!! its's a downloadeable script?
No... if I released it, I'd have to support it, which at this point would be too much trouble.
Just curious and trying not to be funny but did you rig up her boobs and rely on physics or did you manually animate the bounce in them??? Love the character btw.
Very nice, bud! Also, who is doing the background music?
It's one of RUclips's licensed audio tracks - "Holy Ground" by Wolfstone
Hey Jared! I love your work and enjoy watching the process, but I'm curious why you have decided not to have any music or anything to help the video be a bit easier to watch to completion. Is it due to copyright issues? I'm contemplating putting up speedpaints, etc. and I'm currently researching how I can put some music on without infringing upon anyone's work.
Copyright is one way of looking at it. Finding good royalty-free music and then splicing it into the video can take time that I'd rather spend on other things. RUclips has its own selection of music tracks that can be added in, but as far as I can tell it only lets you use one song per video, and doesn't even let you loop it. If your video is much longer than the song you want to use, you're out of luck.
Ah, I see. I was just looking into royalty-free music as an option, so I guess thats the way to go for now. I've never uploaded any videos to youtube before, so what you told me is good to know.
Here's a timelapse of my coloring process on one of my recent pics
WOW good to watch you drawing !!!
seems like she grew a dark-matter tumor in her left boob,(compared to the low-res render) but She's still really cute!
Well she's been doing nothing but hanging upside down and falling out of that tree for how many years, it was bound to affect her health! :P Actually it's just one of the unexpected "joys" of re-rendering old work. It should be as simple as loading the scene and hitting the 'render' button, but I must not have saved the file when I dealt with these issues the first time. Apparently didn't document any of it either...
my favorite is 4
oh neat :3 hoorays I learned something xD thanks for the reply friend
Hey Faith! Sketch-wise, use whatever you're comfortable with. On one hand I think paper is quicker and easier, but digital lets you make adjustments that otherwise might've required erasing and redrawing. Of course, a Cintiq makes digital sketching close to the comfort-level of paper. :) The colored lines make it so I can easily separate some of overlapping overlapping lines in Photoshop. I just find it faster to edit and color the lines this way, than doing it in Illustrator.
P.S. :O what does the whole color change thingy help you do? just curious :D
:3 I've gotta practice more so I can become adept with a tablet like you xD my hand is a bit shaky :P lol... Question: should I do a rough sketch on paper or digital? I've been doing digital pre-sketching since I'm not very good at proportions yet :O :P I do alot of erasing xD o.o oops got side-tracked :3 but yeah been following you for awhile on DA (faithfeather btw :D) and would love your input x3
she's so adorable :3 xD so excited to see a Daisy animation :3!!!!
Great job, I like the little touches like the facial movement and "oh crap" expression she has, it all meshes and fits together well!
He's a sped-up look at my current inking workflow
Awesome work, bud! The Confederate flag top is a nice touch.
